Let me tell you a story…

When I was young, I went to bed creating stories in my mind. After a while I became a bit of an insomniac because I didn’t want to fall asleep until the story was done. Soon these ideas started bleeding into my daytime hours. I’d daydream while in school; creating characters and building worlds instead of taking chemistry notes…

Until my dreams found their way to my fingertips and thousands of keystrokes became thousands of words.

I prefer typing to handwriting, and I like to carry my laptop around with me. Some of my best writing was done during my daughter’s volleyball practices or in a nearby Barnes while my younger children were in preschool.

I’m a discovery writer, and sometimes I discover my way into a corner. I’m lucky to have a husband who knows how to remove my blinders and help me see possibilities and solutions I never would have thought of on my own.

I write stories that mean something to me. Stories that show how much a person can change. Stories that are awesome; full of action and laughter and all the truly important emotions that stay long after the last words are read.
